Born in Tianjin in Northern China, Mr. Chen has lived in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Borneo, and Singapore before coming to Australia to complete his studies in 1961. He has a diversified background with over 38 years experience in Australia and Asia Pacific Region. He has held senior executive positions with large American, Canadian, and Australian corporations in the fields of construction, mining, and property development. He has been credited with numerous visionary and innovative development projects including the design concept for the $350 million China World Project.

Mr. Huey is Sydney-based China specialist and has over 30 years experience in retail, commercial, corporate and international banking including carrying out a variety of functional roles in Australia and offshore for the Westpac Banking Group. His ultimate full time role at Westpac was as General Manager for New South Wales leading a business with over 10,000 employees and $19 billion in assets. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours from the University of Manchester, UK majoring in Financial Services. Mr. Huey is also a Board Member of the Australia China Business Council, and the Australia Vietnam Business Council and an ordinary member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Beijing and the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia.

He is in private practice as a professional quantity surveyor. He has over 35 years experience in the building industry, both in Australia and overseas. He was a former director of 17 years standing with the international quantity surveying firm of Rider Hunt and was responsible for setting up their operations in Papua New Guinea, Guam, Hawaii, and the Philippines.

He is in private practice as a lawyer and a barrister-at-law of the Supreme Court of Queensland. Born in Jiangxi China, he started his career by studying a four year degree course in English Language & Literature in Nanchchang University. He then went on to complete a post-graduate degree with Kunming University, graduating in 1987 with a Master of Applied Linguistics. He was appointed to the positions of Associate Professor and Vice-Dean of Dept. of Foreign Languages prior to his coming to Queensland University in 1998. He graduated in Master of Applied Law in June 2000 and was awarded a Juris Doctor by the University of Queensland in May 2003.
