Sabina Corporation Limited (ASX Code "SAP") was incorporated on 1st June 1987 in Brisbane, in the State of Queensland. On 18th November 1988, the Company was listed on the Second Board and was later admitted to the Main Board on 2nd January 1992.

The Company’s main core activities at the present time are concentrated on three areas of activities: Investment, Property Development, and Consultancy.

The Board believes that the island State of Tasmania has great potential and the local market is now experiencing a very strong interest from mainland investors and also from people wishing to "downshift" for a better quality lifestyle. The Company has entered into an arrangement with the principal shareholder (Churchill Nominees Australia Pty Ltd) where an alliance has been formed to enable Sabina to take up to a 40% interest in all property unit trusts promoted by Churchill in respect to the real estate opportunities undertaken by the Trustee, Tasmania Development Corporation Pty Ltd. Total market value of these projects at completion would exceed $100 million.

Through Sabina’s consulting division (G8 Consultants) the Company also acts as Project Developer for the unit trusts and receives a management fee for services rendered to each project.

Apart from Tasmania, the Company has on 18th November 2004 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation and The University College of Fraser Valley with regard to an 11-acre site in the newly established Canada Education Park in Chilliwak, about 45 minutes from Vancouver. Under the terms of reference, when the title to the land has been transferred from the Canadian Government to the University, Sabina would be invited to carry out a due diligence and feasibility assessment for a university commercial development on the site.

On 10th May 2005, G8 Consultants were invited to join Mr. Ken Miller’s Global Marketing Group in New York to form "GMG China" to provide property advisory services to foreign fund managers who are looking at the China Market to acquire major investment properties for their REITs.

The Company is keen to continue with the joint participation arrangements through property trusts or with other developers/investors to minimize direct project funding requirements and overhead costs.
